List of Most Common Tree Services:

TREE REMOVAL

The safe removal of trees frequently requires the use of special equipment such as aerial lifts and cranes. Unlike other methods, cranes lift and lower heavy pieces to the ground with little or no impact to lawns, plantings or nearby structures. In most cases this eliminates the need to drive heavy trucks and equipment on lawns and planting beds. In every case our trained and experienced crews make sure to leave your property in the best condition possible.
STUMP GRINDING

As an alternative to excavation, our tree professionals can grind stumps to 4" to 6" below grade using special grinding equipment. The resulting chips and surrounding soil are then backfilled into the remaining hole. This is the most cost effective and easiest way to deal with stumps.
EMERGENCY TREE SERVICES • STORM DAMAGE CLEANUP

We are ready to help you in the event of an emergency tree care situation. Nature is unpredictable, but you can count on A-1 Ron's to be timely, knowledgeable and reliable. We've seen the kind of damage that mother nature can do to your trees.
HAZARDOUS TREE REMOVAL

Trees really take a beating after a storm. There's a lot of elements that can damage a tree: wind, ice, snow, and lighting among them. It may look devastating at first, but there are some steps you can take to get things back in order after a storm damages a tree.
ROOF CLEARANCE

We remove limbs growing over your roof and into your home. This will reduce mold and mildew, as well as prevent rodent and pest infestations. These pests can include:
• Rats
• Carpenter Ants
• Silver Fish
• Residential Logging
• Raccoons
SAFETY ASSESSMENTS

People want trees but they also need to be safe from threats to property and physical injury. Tree owners have a duty of care to ensure they have taken reasonable steps to ensure the safety of their trees. All trees carry a certain amount of risk. There are two classes of risk. The first is a "hazard tree." A hazard tree has a major structural fault that could lead to catastrophic loss (people or property). The second class of tree is a "tree at risk" of catastrophic failure. A tree at risk has potential for becoming a hazard tree. Our assessments are based on professional experience and expert observation at the time of the inspection. However, trees are dynamic organic structures and as such can never be guaranteed as 100% safe. Even healthy trees can fail in extreme weather but regular management and assessment can minimize the potential for partial or total failure.
TRIMMING FOR FIRE AND SECURITY

If you live in a forested area, fire-safe landscaping is an effective tool that creates an area of defensible space between your home and flammable vegetation that protects against devastating fires. According to the U.S. Fire Administration, you should take the following steps:

  • Create a defensible space perimeter by thinning trees and brush within 30 feet of your home.
  • Beyond 30 feet, remove dead wood, debris and low tree branches.
  • Eliminate small trees and plants growing under trees. They allow ground fires to jump into tree crowns.
  • Space trees 30 feet apart and prune to a height of 8 to 10 feet.
  • Place shrubs at least 20 feet from any structures and prune regularly.
  • Plant the most drought-tolerant vegetation within three feet of your home and adjacent to structures to prevent ignition.
  • Provide at least a 10 to 15 foot separation between islands of shrubs and plant groups to effectively break-up continuity of vegetation.
  • Landscape your property with fire-resistant plants and vegetation to prevent fire from spreading quickly.
